Ingredients:
1lb chicken cut into piecesSoy sauce
Sriracha
Honey
Rice Vinegar
Lemon Juice
Dry minced onion
Garlic Powder
Ginger Powder
2TB cornstarch + 2TB water
1/3 C Peanuts (dry roasted unsalted)
12oz bag frozen broccoli in a steam bag
4 C Cooked Rice
Directions:
I didn't measure bc I never do when I make this kind of sauce. I did mostly soy sauce, then I add a splash of lemon juice, a splash of vinegar, a squirt of soy sauce, honey until I get tired of watching it slowly pour out, and a sprinkle of the powders on onions. Then I taste it to see what I want to add more of until I like the flavor. I need to try to measure one day so it can be repeated.
I added that to the slow cooker and once it tasted right, I added the chicken and stirred to coat it, and cooked on low for 3.5hrs. At that time I turned it up to high and added the cornstarch slurry and stirred it up and started the rice. After the rice was done I I unplugged the rice and left it to finish steaming the water out then I the broccoli in the microwave in the bag as directed. That includes leaving it in the microwave after it's stopped for another couple of minutes.
