Ingredients:
3 cups Bisquick
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 lb. sausage, raw, ground (hot, mild or a mixture of each)
1 cup water
Directions:
1 Put Bisquick into large bowl. Add just enough water until it begins to form a dough. You may not need the whole cup.
2 Add the ground sausage & cheese. It's easiest to mix with your hands like you would a meatloaf. It helps to have a plastic glove. Just mash it together until it's mixed well.
3 Make little ball shaped biscuits. Place on a Pam sprayed cookie sheet. They don't rise very much so you can put them fairly close together.
4 Bake at 400ยบ for 15-20 minutes until browned.
5 You can also make these ahead & freeze them. Just put them on a pan without letting them touch & put them in the freezer until hard, then transfer to a baggie for later baking, or you can leave the dough in the refrigerator a day or two if you don't want to bake them all at once.
6 Makes 102 sausage balls when they are about 1-inch balls, like a walnut and the counts are then . If you make them slightly bigger like a golf ball, it will make about 51.
Servings: 51
Yield: 51 - 2 inch sausage balls
