Ground Turkey, Tomato, & Apple Slow Cooker Curry

Ingredients:
1 pound ground turkey (or beef)
1 small bunch of scallions, chopped coursely
3 cup uncooked rice
1-15oz can Chilli Ready Diced Tomatoes
1-15oz can Italian Style Diced Tomatoes
4 apples, peeled, cored and chopped
1 tablespoon curry powder
Salt & Pepper to taste
optional: 1/4-1/2 tsp chipolte chilli powder for a little heat









Preparation:
In a large skillet, brown the meat. Drain excess fat. Put the ground meat in quart slow cooker and add the remaining ingredients, except green onions. Mix well. Cover and cook on low 4 hours. If it looks too liquid, you can raise the temperate and cook with the lid off.  About 30 minute before you are ready to eat, cook the rice (I have a rice cooker, so I just toss it in).  After you get the rice started, add the scallions and gently stir in.  Once rice is ready serve the curry over rice.  Makes 6 servings.
