Slow Cooker Sloppy Joes

This is a quick and easy weekend meal. When I wake on Saturday and Sunday mornings, I like to throw something like this in the crock pot.  That way, whenever we get hungry (which varies on weekends), the food is sitting there ready to eat.  We tend to eat lunch out of the crock pot, leave the rest in there, and then finish off the rest for dinner.

Ingredients:

1 lb lean ground turkey (you could probably use beef, but if it's not lean it will probably put a lot of grease in your dinner)
1 small onion, or 1/2 large onion, chopped finely
1 TB mustard
3/4 c ketchup
1/4 c bbq sauce
1-1/2 TB garlic powder
1 TB ground black pepper
4 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
Several Dashes of Worcestershire sauce
1 TB cider vinegar
Several Dashes of Cayenne Pepper Sauce

Directions:

1.) If your turkey isn't already defrosted, put it in the microwave on the proper defrost setting.
2.) While the turkey is defrosting, add everything except the onion, garlic, and turkey to the slow cooker and mix to create sauce.  Chop your vegetables and sit aside.
3.) Once the turkey is ready, add it and the onion/garlic to the pot.  Stir to coat evenly.
4.) Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4.
5.) Serve on buns.

*Note: the more you stir the mixture, the smaller the granules of turkey will be.  If you like bigger chunks, try not to mess with it until you're ready to eat, but if you like smaller chunks, stir very well every hour.
